There is a certain order of operations to employ when diagnosing an under-performing penalty kill:
•Are we taking too many penalties?
•Are we over-working our PKers?
•Are we able to prevent entries?
•Are we able to prevent set-ups (off entries or faceoffs)?
•Are we able to deny seam plays?
•Are we able to recover rebounds & clear pucks?
