When I started coaching university hockey a decade ago, I struggled to find resources related to how high-level teams ought to play the game.
After working at the NHL and AHL levels, I decided to be part of the solution by starting the Hockey Tactics ebook series.
I’m happy to announce the next entry of Hockey Tactics, which is due to be released early 2025 (sometime between New Year’s Day and the NHL playoffs).
Since 2022 I’ve illustrated and explained offensive and defensive schemes employed by NHL teams. New for 2025 is a more general overview of almost every formation (5v5, PP, PK, etc.) you may encounter on the ice, ordered in a more logical way for coaches looking to bolster their teams’ playbooks.
