Fun fact: Sloan costs as much as my new couch will cost me, which I can already barely afford as a grad student. Sports analytics already has enough barriers as-is, so if we want ANY kind of diversity in this field, prices like this for conferences and workshops won't help

Sports-specific conferences such as MIT’s Sloan Analytics Conference cost hundreds of dollars to attend, yet it is never been so easy for experts to get together and to share information online. So two months ago, I had an idea.

I see lots of people on Twitter who are angry about how much it costs to attend Sloan. If this tweet gets 100RTs I'll do a one-day mini-conference on a variety of hockey tactics/analysis/coaching topics over Zoom for free. Who's interested?
