I recently analyze the game of a former top prospect now playing in the minor leagues.
This player possesses good fundamentals but struggles to make escape pressure or close defensively in game conditions. His stride lacks pop. He’s often sitting back on his heels instead of exploding off the balls of his feet. He’s losing confidence in his game and in his potential.
I think the problem is between his ears, but not in the way that you’d think.
