On August 3, 2020 the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Washington Capitals are tied after 60 minutes of 5v5 play and five minutes of 3v3. The round-robin game would therefore be settled by a shootout, possibly the final time such a tiebreaker would be employed during the 2019-20 NHL season.
